Megan, Leigh, and the McGahee and Harrell families. Joyce and I have always felt fortunate to have known Horace through our rides on the BRAG. Although I can't remember the exact year we first met Megan and Horace, I do remember that it was in Jefferson, GA that we first met Megan who had somehow lost Horace amongst all of the other riders. From that time on, Caroline, Joyce, and I rode with Megan and Horace, and became pretty good friends. We rode several more years together and got to meet Leigh a couple of times. We have been meaning to look up the family for some time now, but shamefully, just did not get around to doing that. When Caroline called to let us know that Horace had passed away, we were all very upset. He was a fine man and friend and will certainly be missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Kathy, & Bill & Harrell family. So sorry to read that my friend Horace died. We had know each other for many years since early 1960's. I was in banking at Ga. RR Bank & he ran a small finance on Ellis St. and I would deliver documents to him from the bank. Also knew him thru the Warr family when married to your mom Ann. After we both retired we would see each other at Golden Corral when out for lunch. It was always good to to see him and we would catch up. My thoughts and prayers for the family. Donnie Hooks

My brother Pete Carmichael was friends with Horace all through high school, and Horace's name was a house hold word to me. Pete died a couple of years ago. Please accept my condolences for your loss of Horace. I am blessed to have the memory of his and Pete's friendship. My best to his family, Anne Sherman
