North Augusta, SC…… Mr. Frank Torrance Gibbs, 78, husband of Sally Gibbs, entered into rest on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his residence.
THE LOCATION HAS BEEN CHANGED FOR THE MEMORIAL SERVICE OF MR. GIBBS TO ROWLAND-FORD FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL. IT WILL REMAIN AT 11:00 AM ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 27 WITH MR. JOHN CHAMBERS OFFICIATING.
Mr. Gibbs was a lifetime resident of North Augusta and beloved fan of Clemson University football. He attended GA military college. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and currently attended True North Church. He was the owner of Gibbs Trucks and Foreign car parts. He also was an avid car salesman. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Arvelle Gibbs, and a brother John Gibbs, Jr. Survivors include his wife Sally B Gibbs, two sons Frank Gibbs, Jr. (Andrea) and Scott Gibbs (Ashley), four daughters Debbie Smith, Dina Rigo, Mandy Greenway (Hap), and Brittany Johnson (Brad), sixteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a sister Diane Gibbs Cook (Fred).
The family will receive friends at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hale Foundation http://thehalefoundation.com. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice and Nurse Carla Altman and Terri Williams for their care and compassion.
