North Augusta, SC…… Mr. Alfred Bruce Arnold, 73, husband of Judy Arnold, entered into rest on Monday, January 1, 2018 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Mr. Arnold will be held at the Mount Vintage Town Center on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Military Honors, accorded by American Legion Post 71, will conclude the service at 5:00 PM.
Mr. Arnold lived in New York state most of his life, but made North Augusta home for the past 13 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was involved in civic clubs in New York and in North Augusta such as the American Legion, the Lions Club, and the Rotary Club. Mr. Arnold was an avid golfer, played on an indoor soccer league in the 90’s, enjoyed racquetball for almost three decades, and caddied at the Augusta National. He was a season ticket holder to many sports teams when he lived in New York. He loved to cook, especially breakfast, and to travel, visiting Ireland 6 times. Mr. Arnold enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.
Additional survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Winkles (Michael) of Atlanta, GA; and two sisters, Patricia White (Lawrence) of FL and Gretchen Mersey (Len) of NH.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to a charity of ones choice.
