Mrs. Woon-Leng O. Tsai, 84, of North Augusta, South Carolina entered into rest on Friday, March 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Woon-Leng Na was born to the late Tat Soey Na and Bee Soat Tan on January 26, 1942 in Indonesia. She grew up in Singapore and earned a business administration degree in London, England. She went back to Singapore to build her career until 1971 when she married Dr. Enoch N. Tsai and moved to the United States. They were happily married for 51 years until his passing in 2022. She was a devoted mother and nurturing grandmother who constantly filled others with joy.
She enjoyed growing and sharing roses, playing piano and harp, and knitting blankets to give away. She was cherished in her communities as “Mama Tsai,” embracing others with kindness, support, and love.
She is survived by her 3 siblings: sister Hoei Ling Na of Singapore; and brothers Lip Chong Na (Rosalind) of England and Boon Chong Na (Magdalene) of Singapore. Her 3 children: Kathleen Chandler (Jack) of North Augusta, SC; Dr. Jonathan Tsai of Temple, TX; and Jessica Chou (Eric) of North Augusta. Her 18 grandchildren: Havilah and Jude Chandler; Caleb (Hannah), Charis, Bethel Rose, Jessolyn, Abrielle, Josiah, Benjamin, Jubilee, Isaac, Titus, and Juliette Tsai; Cameron (Joy), Jasmine, Daphne, Samantha, and Paxton Chou.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at J.M. Ford Funeral Directors at 637 W Martintown Road, North Augusta, SC.
They will also receive friends on Saturday, March 28th at 10:00 a.m at Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church at 1850 W Martintown Road.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at Pineview Memorial Gardens at 450 W Five Notch Road. Pallbearers will be Boon Na, Jonathan Tsai, Jack Chandler, Jude Chandler, Eric Chou, and Cameron Chou.
