Wilma was born on November 3, 1939 to the late Johnny and Dorothy Ouzts. She was a lifelong resident of North Augusta and a graduate of North Augusta High School. In 1958, she married Robert J. Thiede and together they owned and operated Insurance Adjusting Services, Inc. After Bob’s death, she was fortunate to find love again with Lloyd McNair. Constantly active in her community and church, Wilma was a past president of the North Augusta Mother’s Club, a member of the Jaycees, volunteered many hours at University Hospital and was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church. When she wasn’t busy serving others, Wilma enjoyed being a member of the Still Magnolias Bridge Club, traveling to the beach, the mountains, or across the world, gardening, and tailgating at Carolina Football games. She held a deep love for animals of all kinds, particularly dogs and cats.

Those left to cherish her memory in addition to Lloyd are her daughter, Ashlyn Thiede Hardy (David) of North Augusta; her granddaughter, Marclee Hardy McDaniel (Andrew) of Greenville; her great grandchildren, Schaefer and Fuller McDaniel; her sister Barbara Ouzts Sweeney (Bob) of North Augusta; stepsons, Michael McNair (Jody) and Mark McNair; stepdaughters Jane Carline (Gene) and Nancy Lacey; nine step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert J. Thiede; two sons, Robert Joseph “Jay” Thiede, Jr. and Christopher Thiede and her brother, John William “Jack” Ouzts, Jr.
