William Arthur Gass

Edgefield, SC…...Mr. William Arthur Gass, 85, husband of Nancy Gass, entered into rest on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at University Hospital.

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA. 

Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean War. 

Additional survivors include his son, Gary Gass, Sr.; his daughters, Shirly Gass, Mary Frances Ogle, Norma Smith (Jeff), and Janice Gass; stepsons, Ira Main, Paul Main and Daniel Main; stepdaughters, Lillian Kraus (John) and Rachel Main; his brother, Vilas Eugene Gass (Cindy); his sister, Carol Gass; 9 grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Thelma Mae Dunn Gass and a stepson, Alex H. Main.
