Walter "Papa Walt" Carroway

Clearwater, SC…...Mr. Walter Hugh “Papa Walt” Carroway, 71, husband of “Granny Gale” Carroway, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at his residence.

The family will receive friends at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM. The family will also be at the residence of Gary Boatwright, Jr.

A resident of the area since 1965, “Papa Walt” enjoyed working on muscle cars and fishing. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and ability to make people laugh.

Additional survivors include his children, Walter Chad Carroway (Hope), Gary Boatwright, Jr. (Stacey), Greg Boatwright (Amanda) and Erin Blair (Sully); his grandchildren, Parker Carroway, Porter Carroway, Charlie Carroway,

Garrett Boatwright, Gage Boatwright, Kaitlin Boatwright, Kelsey Boatwright, Kaleb Boatwright, Kolby Boatwright, Kyle Blair and Gray Blair; his great grandchildren, Remi Redd, Brantley Redd and Brynlee Boatwright; his brothers, Ronnie Gerald Carroway and Jerry Dean Carroway (Xuan); his sisters Enola Jane Smith (James) and Kellie Goodwin (Maury). 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Regina Gale Strom, his father, Walter Hugh Carroway, Sr. and his mother and step-father, Elizabeth and David Ratliff.

Rowland-Ford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
