Virginia H. Folk

North Augusta, SC………Mrs. Virginia (Aunt Ginny) H. Folk, 81, wife of the late John Lucas Folk, entered into rest on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at her residence. 

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity with The Reverend Ross Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. 

Mrs. Folk was born in Manchester, NH, to the late George S., Jr. and Esther Freeden Howe. She retired from Bell South after over 30 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She loved doing ceramics, going to craft shows and shopping. Her favorite thing to do was travel, both with her family and her church family. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Phyllis Kirkland and Patricia Barfuss.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Johnson (Bob), of North Augusta; her brother, George Howe (Thea), of Aiken; sisters in law, Carolyn Lever, of Mt. Pleasant, Dianne Hightower, of Belvedere, and Donna Lariscey, of North Augusta; her nieces and nephews, Bobby Kirkland, Teresa Barton, Mandy Abbott, Kristi Howe, Stephanie Bock, Terri Cox, David Rock, Donald Barfuss, Dwain Barfuss, Jessica Sutton, Andrea Upchurch, Kirby Carr, and several great nieces and nephews.
