Terry Wayne Henley

North Augusta, SC..............Terry Wayne Henley, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 65 in his North Augusta home. With profound sadness, we say goodbye to a man whose intelligence, sharp wit, and boundless generosity left a mark on all who knew him. He is survived by his wife and loving partner of twenty-six years, Terry Denese, his daughters Brittany (Josh) and Megan (Brandon), and grandchildren Jayden, Harleigh, Juliana, and Riley. He also leaves behind four stepchildren: David, Kerri, Elizabeth (Ryan), and Andrew and their children, Adyn, Bella, Braydin, and Austin. He is preceded by his parents John and Lodema, fondly known as "Mama Loda”, and his brother Johnny. He leaves behind his sisters Gail and Donna and many nieces and nephews. 

Terry grew up in Manchester, Tennessee and was known for his trouble-making and adventurous spirit. When he became older, Terry had a strong career working at various nuclear energy sites across the country. He dedicated himself to his job, even mentoring other engineers before his retirement.  

But Terry wasn't just about work. He was all about enjoying life's simple pleasures. Whether it was traveling with his wife Terry, laughing at his own jokes, or making memories with his grandkids and daughters Megan and Brittany, Terry cherished these moments. He was also a huge fan of Tennessee football, always cheering on his Vols with passion.  

Terry will be remembered for his warmth and generosity. His humor and laughter lit up the lives of those around him. He always wanted to help others and was big on giving back, especially through blood donation. He believed strongly in its power to save lives and was a regular donor himself, encouraging others to do the same. 

As we grieve Terry's passing, we find peace in the many memories of love and laughter he leaves behind. Though he's no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all those who knew him. In place of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating blood to your local blood bank in Terry's memory. 

A gathering in celebration of Terry's life will be held on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home. Everyone who knew and loved him is invited to come together and honor the life of this amazing man who touched so many lives. Terry Henley will be greatly missed but never, ever forgotten.
