Sylvia G. (Thorne) Turner

North Augusta, SC……..Mrs. Sylvia G. Turner, 71, wife of David Turner, Sr., entered into rest on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at her residence.

Her family will receive friends at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. 

A native of Columbus, GA, Sylvia spent the last 45 years in North Augusta. She spent 30 plus years in sales for Southern Bell. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, particularly growing tomatoes and roses. She was extremely family focused and loved to travel, always ensuring that her husband and sons had the most well planned vacations several times a year. 

Survivors in addition to her husband include her sons, David Turner, Jr. (Angela), James Turner (Courtney), and Daniel Turner; her grandchildren, Trey Turner, Jacob Turner, James Turner, Ellie Turner, and Brett Peveto; her brothers, Robert Thorne (Rachel), Mark Thorne (Allison), and Jimmy Thorne; her sisters-in-law, Margie Bonsall, Sara Walls, and Patty Crabb.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry and Ronny Thorne; her sister, Diane Thorne; her brothers-in-law, Charles and James Turner; her sister-in-law, Mary Cook.
