North Augusta, SC.......Ms. Sarah Rogers Turner, 80, entered into rest on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Piedmont Augusta.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 in the J.M. Ford Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tom Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Born in Georgetown, SC and having resided in Marion, SC, Ms. Turner had made North Augusta her home for a number of years. She attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Trenton, SC.
She will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Sister who loved cooking and baking, collecting many cookbooks throughout her lifetime. She loved baseball, both professional and collegiate. Her Uncle Harry Byrd was a professional baseball player that played for the NY Yankees and other teams.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Turner Ridenour (Tom), Joan Turner Hughes (Danny), and Allison Turner Christy; her son, Gary Turner (Michele); and daughter in law, Amanda Turner; seven granddaughters; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlton Aubrey Rogers; her mother, Edna Byrd Rogers; her son, Mitchell Alan Turner; her son in law, Chris Christy; her sister, Louise Rogers Spivey; and her brother, Robert E. Rogers.
