North Augusta, SC…...Sam Templeton went into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the age of 92. He was the loving husband of 63 years to the late Polly Templeton.
His graveside service will be held at noon on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in Pineview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Roy Kiser officiating. The family will receive friends at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM. Pallbearers will be Hayden Tuttle, Kendall Tuttle, Merritt Tuttle, and Ed Tuttle.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta where he taught a men’s Bible class for many years. He was also a member of the Acacia Masonic Lodge. Mr. Templeton worked for Southern Bell for 42 years. In 1982, he was transferred to Atlanta, placed on the Georgia Safety Staff, and became the President of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Dogwood Chapter. In 1991, he and his wife retired and moved back to North Augusta.
He will always be remembered for his teasing jokes, entertaining stories, powerful testimony, unselfishness, and love for his family. His loves in life were his God, Jesus, his wife and daughters, and all of his family and friends. His hobbies were hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his daughters, Susan T. Story and Bambi T. Faglier; three grandchildren, Courtney Delgado (Robert), Brittany Rankin, and Steed Story (Charlsie); five great grandchildren, Hayden Tuttle, Kendall Tuttle, Merrit Tuttle, Liam Delgado, and Dominic Delgado.
