Robin S. Bates

Robin Suzanne Bates, 62, entered into rest on Friday, May 18, 2018 at University Hospital.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jonathan Kilpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens.

Robin was a native and lifelong resident of North Augusta. She was an insurance salesperson and agency manager for over 30 years. Though she spent many hours in the office, she found the time to travel extensively. Her travels took her to many parts of the world including Europe, China and the former Soviet Union. When she wasn’t travelling or working, Robin could be found with her friends, The Daisies, most often at Villa Europa. Following her retirement from insurance, she became her mother’s caregiver.

Survivors include her companion, Frank J. Schrenko, her mother, Fran Bates; her brother, Phillip Bates (Kathy); her sister, Cindy Bates Schmelter (Gerry) and her nieces and nephews, Bailey Bates D’Ambrosio (Scott), Robert Bates, Alexandra Schmelter Medina (Cameron), William Schmelter and Enoch Schmelter.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
