Mr. Gfeller loved his family and took great pride in the mission work that they do. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, having served immediately following World War II. He loved the Lord and never met a stranger. The combination of these things allowed him to become a successful soul winner. He loved to garden and share the produce he grew with his friends and family.
Additional survivors include his sons, Richard L. Gfeller, Jr. (Debbie), Craig Gfeller (Teresa), Charles “Chuck” Gfeller (Sue), Dwight Gfeller (Pam), and Bryan Gfeller (Deborah); his daughter, Rhonda Sargent (Don); his brother, Harold Gfeller; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many good neighbors and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Kiser Gfeller; his son, Bradley Gfeller; and his brother, Don Gfeller.
Memorials may be made to the Lakeside Baptist Church Missions Fund, 4280 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Clearwater, SC 29842.
