Ms. Peggy J. Franklin died peacefully at the home of her daughter on April 3rd, in North Augusta, South Carolina at the age of 80.
Peggy is survived by her daughter Angela McCollum and her husband David of North Augusta, South Carolina, her son Tim Holloway and his wife Debbie of Johns Island, South Carolina, her son Perry Holloway and his wife Rosaura of Weston, Florida, her brother Steve Owens of Hendersonville, Tennessee, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Inez “Nanny” Owens of Belvedere and her son John Dewbre.
Peggy was raised in Graniteville, South Carolina but has been a resident of North Augusta and Belvedere, South Carolina for much of her adult life. She also lived in Aberdeen, Scotland, New Orleans, Louisiana, Katy, Texas, and Apopka, Florida. She loved to travel and visited a number of countries in Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. One of her passions was reading and writing and she even published a poem.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, April 18th at 3:00 PM in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel in North Augusta, SC. All are welcome to attend. The family will be receiving visitors one hour prior to the service.
