Paul Derek Albea

Harlem, GA...... Mr. Paul Derek Albea, 65, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones.

Derek was born on April 28, 1957 to the late Johnny Glenn Albea and Dorothy McConnell in Greenwood, SC. He was raised in Aiken, SC and a carpenter by trade. Derek was a proud confederate and a loyal Atlanta Braves fan. 

He is a survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kim Greynolds Albea of Harlem, GA; his daughters, Nicole (Stacey) Toole of Graniteville, SC, Ashley (Travis) Bradley of Monetta, SC and Kristmas Albea of Harlem, GA; his grandchildren, Austin (Taylor) Bridges of Edgefield, SC, Shelby Romero of North Augusta, SC, Alexander Bridges of the US Navy currently serving in Japan, Audrey (Chad) Champy of Warrenville, SC, JT Huffman of Monetta, SC, Pocket Groover of Harlem, GA, Addyson Bradley of Monetta, SC, and Bentlee and Paul Groover of Harlem GA; his great grandchildren, Kay’leigh and Sadie Bridges of Edgefield, SC, and Diego and Harper Romero of North Augusta, SC. In addition to his parents, Derek was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Glenn Albea, Jr.  Derek also leaves to cherish his memory to his brother and sister in laws and a host of nieces and nephews.  Derek will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, pappy and pawpaw. 

The family will receive friends at Rowland Ford Funeral Home on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
