Onie Elizabeth "Beth" Whittle Willis

Mrs. Onie Elizabeth “Beth” Whittle Willis, 51, entered into rest to be with the Lord on April 5, 2022 after fighting leukemia.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home on Monday, April 11 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Beth was born in Augusta, GA, November 10, 1970 to Bobby Allen Whittle, Sr. and the late Hedy Hadden “Anne” Whittle. She was raised in Aiken, SC and graduated from South Aiken High School in 1989. Beth was a diligent and loyal employee, having served the Kroger Company for 16 years before departing as a Front-End Manager. She went on to serve Aiken County for 17 years before leaving her position as Chief Deputy Clerk of Court.

Beth was married to the love of her life, Robert M. “Robbie” Willis, III for 23 years and they raised their two precious children Andrew Garrett Willis and Ansley Grace Willis at their home in North Augusta. Beth adored children, especially her own. She was affectionately known by several names she loved; “Mom,” “Mama,” and “Aunt Beth” were a few. She was particularly fond of the name “Bess,” given by her great nephew Dexter James Hawkins, and lovingly adopted by two other very special children to her, Olivia “Buglet” and Callie “Doodle Bug” Morrison. Beth had the most extraordinarily kind, loving, joyful, tender, forgiving, and loyal heart. She loved her family, friends, and pets (especially her dog Oscar) immensely. Her favorite pastime was being with her family and friends, where she could be herself and playfully entertain them whenever possible. She also loved shopping, vacationing in the mountains, music, ice cream, and sweet tea.

In addition to her husband, children, and father, Beth is survived by her sister, Kimberly Whittle Goss (Steve); her brother, Timothy Craig Whittle (Tamela); her second mother Sylvia Goff; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; her loving father and mother-in-law Robert M. “Bob” Willis, Jr. and Sandra S. Willis; her loving brother-in-law John Gregory "Greg" Willis; and Summer Burch, who was like a daughter. She is preceded in death by her brother Bobby Allen “Bubba” Whittle, Jr. 

Pallbearers will be: Steve Goss, Ben Hawkins, Chris McGee, Michael Morrison, Bill Saltz, and Jay Tucker.
