Belvedere, SC......Ollie Wilson Tolbert, died October 14, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Augusta, Georgia on May 27, 1942, and was the daughter of Joseph S. Wilson and Edith M. Wheeler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil O. Tolbert; her daughter, Robin Musgrove Cook; and all 4 of her siblings, Linda Hurt, Tommy Wilson, Sarah Purks and Carleton Purks.
Survivors left to cherish her memory are her sons, Joseph Musgrove (Jackie) of Wilmington, NC and Charles Musgrove (Nancy) of Belvedere, SC; her granddaughters, Rene’ Lane of Martinez, GA, Erin Minshew (Chris) of Wilmington, NC, and Mandi Summey (Brian) of Brevard, NC; her grandsons, Evan Musgrove (Mandy) of Clemmons, NC and Kyle Musgrove (Rhiannon) of Brevard, NC; and 12 great grandchildren.
Ollie loved her family with all her heart and was an amazing mother and grandmother. She worked for many years as a dental technician in Augusta and Dublin, GA. She loved animals and would never let a stray go hungry. She was an independent woman with the heart of a servant. She especially enjoyed mornings on her porch and her “God time”. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 71 in North Augusta where she served consecutive terms as president.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the Rowland- Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gene Jennings officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Deans Bridge Road in Augusta. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 71. Pallbearers will be Dr. William T. Besson III, Donald Curry, Evan Musgrove, Brian Summey, Clayton Hurt and Chris Williams.
The family wishes to thank her compassionate caregivers- Dr. William T. Besson, a special cousin, Debbie Whitman Smith and Becky Flowers of Kindred Hospice.
