Nancy S. Nash

North Augusta, SC…….Nancy Sparks Nash, 81 of North Augusta SC went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 11, 2022.

Nancy, affectionately known as “Nana” was born on March 11th, 1940 to Clarence and Octavia Stovall in Atlanta Georgia.  Growing up in Mableton Ga, Nancy attended South Cobb High school. In the 9th grade “Fancy Nancy” met Eddie Nash, a senior. She did all she could to end up on his seat on the school bus! Although she told him she would never marry a “backwoods redneck” she ended up falling in love and married her Prince Charming in July of 1957. Moving to North Augusta in 1962, together they found where they would call home. Ronnie was born in 1959 and David in 1962 completing their family. For 65 years Nancy loved Eddie and he took care of her every need with true joy in his heart. Nancy was a loving wife, a devoted mother and a true matriarch to her family.

Nancy enjoyed traveling with her family, playing cards, penny slot machines, crosswords, her iPad and Facebook where she loved seeing pictures of her family and friends. She was an avid reader, loved puzzles and made sure to get the biggest steak at family dinners! She loved some leftovers!

Nana always had a Bloody Mary ready for her favorite granddaughter, Erin. She was proud of her grandkids and was overjoyed to meet the twins.  She loved to watch her favorite grandson excel in everything he worked for and especially loves his beautiful girls.

Nana loved mostly being a Nana. The pride of her life were her 8 great grandchildren and she spoke of them to everyone.

Nancy was a true southern lady who was preceded in death by her youngest son David. She longed for the day to be reunited with him again and we rest easy knowing they are once again together.

She is survived by her beloved husband Edward Lee Nash, Jr.; her Son, Ronnie(Erain) Nash; Grandson, Phillip (Ariel) Nash, Granddaughter, Erin(Tim) Coleman; Great-Grandchildren, Sunday and Navy Nash, Brody, Elissa, Tate, Piper, Eleanor and Olivia Coleman; a sister in law, Rita Sparks.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel. Nancy will be laid to rest at Pineview Memorial Gardens in North Augusta. Family and Friends are invited to join in celebrating her life.
