MaryAnn (Daniels) Wilson

Martinez, GA…….MaryAnn Daniels Wilson, 98, passed away on February 20, 2024. 

She was born June 1, 1925 in Augusta, GA to the late W. L. and Minnie Viola Daniels. 

MaryAnn was a long-time member of West Acres Baptist Church, where she was active in their Homebound Ministry for many years. 

MaryAnn loved her family and took pleasure in hosting family gatherings at her home. She was an incredible cook. Many arguments revolved around who would get the last bite of her banana pudding! She volunteered her gift for cooking with Lot’s Ministry, a former shelter in Augusta, by helping prepare meals for the residents. 

She greatly enjoyed painting and spent many happy hours along the Savannah River with her artist group from the Gertrude Herbert Art Institute. 

In addition to her parents, her husband, Henry M. Wilson, Sr., preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her children, Dianna Simmons James (Walt), Henry M. Wilson, Jr. (Rebecca), Susan Wilson Pitts (Tim), and Connie Wilson Franks; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. 

Her family would like to give special thanks to the workers at Sodalis and at Trinity Hospice for their loving care. 

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Monday, February 26 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at TBonz, 2856 Washington Road, Augusta.
