Jackson, SC……Mrs. Lois Neddine Ensling Parrish, 81, wife of 65 years to the late Command Sergeant Major US Army (Ret.) Herbert E. Parrish, Jr., entered into rest on Friday, December 2, 2022 surrounded by her children.
Her memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor CT Townsend officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. In the days preceding the visitation and service, the family will be at the home of Mrs. Parrish.
Mrs. Parrish was a stay at home mother until 1976 when she went to work at Sam Solomon and then Citizen’s Jewelry. After leaving Citizen’s Jewelry, she opened Catherine’s Plus Size Shop and worked as the Manager and ultimately Regional Manager. Following that, she worked for a short time at J.B. White’s until her mother became ill. She became her mother’s caregiver until her mother went to Keysville Nursing Home. Mrs. Parrish decided to go to work at the nursing home for 17 plus years ultimately retiring as the Administrator. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was loved by her family and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Parrish Klementowski (Ronald), and Phyllis Parrish Koster; her son, Herbert E. Parrish, III (Ellen); her grandchildren, Joseph Williamson (Charlene), Nathan Williamson (Ashley), Monique Brudi, Tommy Purvis (Jessica), Johnny Whitaker (Laurie), Brandi Ellison (Will), Erin Coleman (Michael), Audrey Cosentino (Gio), Kinsey Parrish, Kenneth Bellamy (Cortney), and Michael Koster(Krystal); her great grandchildren, Savannah, Trinity, Madeline, Tiege, Alina, Collin, Sophia, Rylan, Brant, Greggory, Emory, Adaline, Evelyn, Isla, Wyatt, Kylie, Kearsten, River Grace, Kanaan, Junior, and Willow; her brothers, Adam Milton Ensling (Sandra) and John P. Ensling, Jr. (Gladys)
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Parrish Brudi; and her parents, John and Edna Bell Ensling.
