Joseph E. Vignati, Sr.

North Augusta, SC……..Mr. Joseph Edward Vignati, Sr., 94, husband of the late Mary D. Vignati, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his residence.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Father David F.O. Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Gardens with military honors. 

Mr. Vignati served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. While serving in the Pacific Theater, he was awarded 3 Silver Stars and 8 Bronze Stars. He was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, an avid golfer and world traveler, he was also a Life Member of the North Augusta Sertoma Club. 

Survivors include two sons, Joseph E. Vignati, Jr. (Rita), of Hilton Head and Chuck L. Vignati of North Augusta; two daughters, Kathy V. Heistand of Trenton and Vicky V. Chason (Charles) of North Augusta; nine grandchildren and a number of great and great great grandchildren.

Members of the North Augusta Sertoma Club will serve as active and honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. There will also be a time of visitation one hour prior to his funeral service on Monday. 

The family will be at the residence of Chuck Vignati, 527 Five Notch Road, North Augusta, SC 29860.
