Janell Matthews Lindsey

North Augusta, SC.......Entered into rest on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Janell Matthews Lindsey, age 97.

A native of Flippin, Arkansas, Janell has lived in the Augusta and North Augusta area for the last 74 years. Janell tried and excelled in many occupations in her life. Her many occupations included working as a dental assistant, Mercedes salesman, airline agent, secretary, office manager, licensed real estate and insurance agent, aesthetic instructor, portrait instructor, corporation president and volunteer teacher of adult literacy. Other accomplishments also include writing and publishing a book and several poems, as well as being a portraitist.

Janell was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Larry Luke Lindsey, her parents James Raleigh Matthews and Nella Johnson Matthews and her six siblings.

Family members include her two sons: Lee I. Lindsey (Pamela H.), North Augusta, SC and Craig M. Lindsey (Pamela T.), Lebanon, TN; her grandchildren, Matthew Lindsey, Adam Lindsey (Brittney), Melissa McDougald (Chris),
Laura Daughtery (Justin), Russell Lindsey (Mika), and Lauren Matherly (Jacob); her great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Senior Living of North Augusta and National Health Care of North Augusta for the love and care they showed Janell during her residencies there.

Memorial services for Janell will be private.
