James "Buddy" Allen Humphreys

Graniteville, SC……..Mr. James “Buddy” Allen Humphreys, 69, entered into rest on Sunday, November 15, 2020

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 in Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Brown and Chaplain Race Lariscy officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. 

Mr. Humphreys was born on August 19, 1951 in Augusta and was a lifelong resident of the CSRA. He graduated from Butler High School and went on to attend Augusta Technical College where he obtained a certificate in Drafting. He then served the City of Augusta for a number of years as a draftsman in the Engineering Department. Following his tenure with the City of Augusta, James began his second career with Master Chevrolet Cadillac in Aiken which spanned 28 years. James was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, with whom he would have celebrated 43 years of marriage on Thursday, November 19. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Adams; as well as many other family and friends that loved him very much. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo P. and Mozelle Johnson Humphreys and his loving canine companion, Ruby.
