James Thomas Worthy

Clearwater, SC....... James (Jamie) Thomas Worthy, age 52, of Clearwater, SC passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 from mercury poisoning. James was born on June 6,1970 in Newberry, SC to James E. Worthy and Edith Gertrude Long Worthy.

James loved his family and his furbabies. James loved working with his hands and was a jack of all trades. He especially loved working on vehicles and could tell you what was wrong by the turn of the key whether it started or not. He loved helping people every chance he got, even if he didn't get paid to do it. In his spare time, he just loved loving on his furbaby Duke.

He is survived by his father, James E. Worthy; his sister, Tabatha (Ty) Worthy; a brother, Gary Worthy, all of Johnston, SC; his girlfriend, Barbara Burton; his step-son, Jon (LJ) Burton Jr., and his furbabies, Duke and Oofph Oofph, all of Clearwater, SC. He is preceded in death by his son, the late Dalton Caleb Worthy; his mom, the Late Gertrude Long Worthy; and a brother, the Late Mark Ervin Worthy Sr.  

Funeral services will be May 6, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at High Praises Church Of God in North Augusta, S.C. with the Pastor Jackie Robinson officiating.
