Owing to his service in the armed forces, his family relocated several times, living in Minnesota, Michigan, Nevada, England, California and Tennessee before making their home in North Augusta in 2016. In his free time, Jim loved to read, his favorite book was The Lost Fleet. He was also an avid DIY'er having built several storage sheds including a pottery shop for his beloved wife, Marian. He enjoyed having friends and family over for supper, building many lasting memories over a home cooked meal. He was a member of Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marian Virginia Wade; two sons, John Charles Wade and Timothy James Wade; a brother, Donald G. Wade; and a sister, Janice Lee Wade.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home. A funeral service with United States Air Force honors will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Saturday, July 27 at 10:00 AM, Pastor David Gallimore officiating.
