James C. Bush, Jr.

North Augusta, SC…….Mr. James C. Bush, Jr., 90, husband of the late Lucille Bush, entered into rest on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at his residence.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

A lifetime resident of North Augusta and a graduate of North Augusta High School, Mr. Bush spent many years coaching football and baseball. He was an accomplished athlete having played on the high school football team and earning a scholarship to Furman University. He was later inducted into the NAHS Athletic Hall of Fame. He retired from the E.I. DuPont Company after 25 years of service and began to assist his family in operating the family flower shop. In 1996, he, Lucille, and their children opened Jim Bush Flower Shop, a staple of the North Augusta community for 25 years. When he wasn’t working he could be found fishing, playing golf, or traveling to the mountains. “DaDa,” as he was affectionately known, loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, was well loved by them, and was constantly making them laugh. His legacy to them will live on through his lessons of compassion, empathy, and kindness. “Always treat others as you would like to be treated.”

He is survived by his sons, Charley Bush (Debra) and George Bush (Marcia); his daughter, Terri B. Webb (Rick); his daughter in law, Lissa B. Moman; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and his special friend, Glenda Lucas.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Jimmy Bush and Dickie Bush; his sisters, Nan Sumerau, Betty Menger, Jeanette Bush, and Bebe Holeman.
