Henry C. Harmon

Henry C. Harmon, age 97, husband of 69 years to Lucille Rucker Harmon, entered into rest on September 22, 2023.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Ethel Willis Harmon; brothers John Harmon, Hasting Harmon, and infant Willis Harmon; and sisters Beatrice Harmon Willis and Flora Harmon Riley. He is survived by a son, HC (Hank) Harmon; daughter Vickie Harmon Mogilefsky (Michael); grandchildren Derek Harmon (Misty), Chris Harmon (Brandi), Alicia Crane (Anthony), and Scott Mogilefsky (Karen); great-grandchildren Jakob Harmon, Haddin Harmon, Haidin Harmon, Annslii Harmon, Camdin Harmon, Aaron Crane, Blake Crane, Charlie Crane, Gabriel Mogilefsky, Ava Mogilefsky, Layla Mogilefsky, Jacob Pou, and Elizabeth Robinson as well as 22 nieces and nephews.

Henry was born in Saluda, SC but had lived in North Augusta for nearly 70 years. He served in the Air Force with the 231st Army Airborne Unit and was a member of American Legion Post 71. He retired after 40 years with CSX Railroad. Henry enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, watching and attending NASCAR races. He enjoyed talking to people and never met a stranger.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Pineview Memorial Gardens in North Augusta, SC. Visitation will occur for one hour immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion Post 71, PO Box 6036, North Augusta, SC 29861.
