Heather LaVonne Tucker

Born in Napa, CA and a resident of North Augusta, SC, Heather LaVonne Tucker passed away on October 20, 2024 at the age of 53.

Heather was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, and grandmother, whose bright spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Tommy Tucker; her parents, Clark and Deborah Poppell; her daughter, Chelsea Scritchfield (Jason); her sons, Jason Tucker and Daniel Tucker; her cherished grandchildren, Rowyn, Montgomery and Wesley Scritchfield; and her brother, Jarrod Clark.

Known for her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and warm, bubbly personality, Heather made everyone feel welcome with her signature hugs--no one could leave without a proper hug hello and goodbye. In fact, she was known as "the best hugger ever," a small but meaningful reflection of her boundless love for others. Heather will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched. 

A memorial service honoring Heather's life will be held on Saturday, November 2 at 2:00 PM in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel.
