Belvedere, SC…..Mr. George James “Jim” Trusler, Jr., 96, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 10 , 2021 at Doctors Hospital.
His graveside service with Veteran’s Honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 13, 2021 in Pineview Memorial Gardens with Rev. J. Earl Welch, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. The wearing of masks and social distancing is encouraged.
Mr. Trusler was a native of Buckhannon, WV, having made Belvedere his home since 1957. He joined and remained a member and Life Deacon of Bel-Ridge Baptist Church from the time that he moved to Belvedere. He retired as a customer service manager from the Sears Roebuck Company after 41 years of service. A veteran of the US Marine Corps, he served in both WWII and the Korean War. He was an avid camper.
Pallbearers will be Brent Collins, Ryan Collins, and Wyatt Wanninger.
Survivors include his sons, John Wright (Sharon), of Jacksonville, FL, and George J. Trusler, III of Atlanta; his daughters, Lema Rachels (Pat), of Appling and Sue Collins, of North Augusta; his brother, Gary Trusler (Faye), of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Brent Collins (Caroline), Ryan Collins (April), Calli Wanninger (Wyatt), Michael Wright (Heather), Jennifer Wright (Chris), and Timothy Wright (Elizabeth); and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Kates Trusler and a son in law, H. Alan Collins.
