North Augusta, SC.......Mr. Fred G. McNatt, 91, husband of Patricia McNatt, entered into rest on Monday, November 17, 2025 at his residence.
His funeral service will be held in the J.M. Ford Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until service time. Mr. McNatt’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Fred was born and raised in Camden, SC. He was the eldest of four brothers and one sister. After serving for six years with the US Army, he then climbed the ranks at the Savannah River Site. Following a 47 year-career at the Site, he retired in 2000. After his retirement, he enjoyed his favorite hobby of fishing—both on- and off-shore—and became a certified scuba diver. He also found endless love and comfort in both his family and in his Southern Baptist faith.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, Curtis D. Barnes (Amanda) and Wade L. Barnes (Shannon); three daughters, Donna McBride (Rocky), Rebecca Turner (Andy), and Teresa B. Chinery (Mark); 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Larry B. McNatt and Steven G. McNatt.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred’s memory may be made to the Tunnel To Towers Foundation, PO Box 70719, Philadelphia, PA, 19176-0719.
