Franklin Terry Carpenter

North Augusta, SC…….Mr. Franklin Terry Carpenter, 67, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Wellstar MCG.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 in the J.M. Ford Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bo Mabe officiating. Interment will be held on the family property following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 P.M.

Terry loved being outdoors fishing, cutting grass, or running around on his excavator. Known by his family as The GOAT, he was stubborn and loved to boss his siblings around. He always said that his son and grandchild were his pride and joy; he and his family took great comfort in surrounding him in his final days.

He is survived by his son, Mitchell Carpenter and his fiance Carly; his granddaughter, Alaina; his brothers, Ted Carpenter, Tim Carpenter, and Randy Carpenter (Vicki); his sisters, Marnie Mabe (Ronnie), Ruthann “Squeaky” Clem (Michael), and Sheena Reiter (Stephen). He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Delano Carpenter and Jo Ann Gunter Roper; his stepfather, Rufus John Roper, Sr.; and his brother, Rufus John Roper, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Carpenter, Ted Carpenter, Tim Carpenter, Randy Carpenter, Ronnie Mabe and Stephen Reiter.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Clem and Jason McCord.
