Eleanor Elizabeth Warner, age 98, passed away at her residence on October 4, 2022.
She was born in Atlanta, GA on March 18, 1924 to the late James Thomas and Adelia Waller. Eleanor had five brothers. She was preceded in death by Bob, Fred, and Tom Waller; she is survived by Joe and Julian Waller.
Eleanor and her husband, Gordon Warner, were entrepreneurs in the motel and restaurant business in Florida. When her husband passed in 1989, she moved to the Augusta area to be near her children. She was employed as a C.N.A., helping families throughout the community.
She had a great sense of humor; she was extremely witty and exceptionally sharp. You had to come back with a very quick retort in order to avoid the occasional sting.
Eleanor is survived by three children, Lee, Shirley, and Brenda; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at her home.
