Obituary
Rev. Edythe “Edy” Davis McElmurray, 89, entered into rest on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at her residence.
Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2022 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be private.
Rev. Edy has now been promoted to be with her Lord whom she served for a number of years. Her heart was to show the Lord’s people a path to live closer and freer from hindrance so that they could be a better witness for Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Norma Davis; her ex-husband, Jesse G. McElmurray; her brother, N. Warren Davis; her sister in law, Penny Davis; and her daughter in law, Laura P. McElmurray.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Sargent (Rickey); her sons, Mike McElmurray and Danny McElmurray (J Hamilton); her granddaughters, Megan N. Hampton, Hannah Sargent Kitchings (Joey), and Lisa McElmurray Wilkie (Doug); her great grandson, Rowen Kitchings; and her home health companion, Tyler Dery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 9988 Dunbarton Blvd., Barnwell, SC 29812.
