Edward H. Cordes, Jr.

North Augusta, SC…..Mr. Edward “Ed” H. Cordes, Jr., 74, husband of 48 years to Cheri Cordes, entered into rest on Friday, July 30, 2021 at AU Medical Center. 

His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Father Richard C. Wilson, celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. The family requests that casual attire be worn as Ed would want everyone to come as they are. 

Ed will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, and PawPaw. He retired as the plant manager for Liquid Carbonic after many years of service and went on to retire from his second career as an Aiken County Magistrate Court Constable. He was active in the church and community having achieved the 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus, and was a member of the Masters City Sertoma Club. Ed served the citizens of North Augusta as a volunteer firefighter from 1986-2008. He always said, “Your life is a success if you have been able to affect someone in a positive way.”

Left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife are his son, Edward “Eddie” H. Cordes, III and his granddaughter, Gabrielle “Gaby” Ann Cordes.
