Douglas Allan Berry

North Augusta, SC…….Mr. Douglas Allan Berry, 65, husband of 34 years to Liz Scofield Berry, entered into rest on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his residence.

The family will celebrate Doug’s life with a gathering of friends on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home.

Doug was raised in Michigan, and completed the US Navy Nuclear Submarine School in the 1970’s. He worked with his friend and life mentor Jack Leverenz to establish a sailing school in Punta Gorda, FL in the 1980’s. Doug completed his BS in electrical engineering at Michigan State University in 1990 before beginning his career at SRS where he worked for 31 years. He delayed his retirement because he enjoyed his career and co-workers, especially his boss and friend Cynthia Boler-Melton.

 Doug was gracious, honorable, and always offered his quiet generosity to friends and family.

Survivors in addition to his wife are his sons, Taylor Everett Berry and Matthew Robert Berry; his mother, Judith Pouliot Berry; his sisters, Linda Berry Summers (Tom) and Elizabeth Berry-Mahone Williams; his sister-in-law, Dana Berry, the wife of his late brother, Tim; and 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Berry, Sr. and his brothers, Robert E. Berry, Jr. and Timothy Robert Berry.
