Doreen (Taylor) Wetherington

North Augusta, SC......Mrs. Mary Doreen Taylor Wetherington, 94, wife of the late Toy Lee Wetherington, Sr., entered into rest on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at National Healthcare. 

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 28, 2021 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Roy L. Head and Rev. Roy Kiser officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Born January 10, 1927 in Leek, Staffordshire, England, she was the youngest of three daughters born to Harry and Florence Boughey Taylor. During WWII, she met her husband, an American GI, Toy Lee Wetherington, Sr. They were married on September 4,1945.

She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine W. Terry, (Johnny) Summerville, S C.; sons, Toy Lee Wetherington, Jr. (Joyce), and Phillip R. Wetherington (Dawn), both of North Augusta; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
