Donald William Shockley

North Augusta, SC……Mr. Donald William Shockley, 76, husband of 56 years to Miriam Shockley, entered into rest on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Piedmont Augusta.

His memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 in the Rowland Ford Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Mr. Shockley retired after over 40 years in the insurance business, where he spent the last 20 years operating his own agency. In his younger days, he enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and riding his Harley. His more recent days were spent being the BBQ master on one of his many grills and taking care of his large backyard waterfall and Koi pond. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel Ellis and Viola Greer Shockley; his brother, Joel Ellis Shockley, Jr.; his sister, Ruth Roof; and a great granddaughter, Kennedy Grace Cromwell.

Survivors, in addition to his wife include, his son, Chris Shockley; his daughter, Kim Tierney (Kevin); five grandchildren, Kelli Cromwell, Corey Smith, Ashton Tierney, Taylor Shockley, and Abbey Tierney; three great grandchildren, Mackenzie Cromwell, Harper Smith, and Boeing Tierney.
