Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies? Proverbs 31:10

We were blessed to have found such a woman in Diane Brown. She exemplified the epitome of a virtuous woman. She embodied the virtue of love in that she loved her God whom she described most often as faithful. She loved her husband, whom she stood beside through the many victories and challenges of a minister of Gospel, Pastor and Evangelist. She loved her children well, both those she was privileged to raise and those for whom she grieved in death. She loved people so very well, especially her ladies in Far Above Rubies, her precious Sunday School class of close to 40 years.

She exemplified the virtue of a quiet strength such as when her babies went to heaven, when her houses burned to the ground twice, in the loss of dear friends, when facing Parkinson’s with her husband, and so many other private battles that she pondered in her own heart.

She exemplified the virtue of a generous spirit. She was generous with her time in that she spent hours pouring into the lives of not just her family but so many others. She was generous with her wisdom as she shared her own experiences with countless ladies of what the Lord had imparted to her. She was generous with smiles, laughs, hugs and prayers. She was generous with her heart as she put it out there time and again to care for hurting people.

She most exemplified the virtue she most admired in her God: faithfulness. She stayed the course, steadied her own family and her church family during great loss, and stood for her gracious God until He walked her home.

She was well loved because she loved well.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Brown and his wife Stacy and Chris Brown and his wife Melinda; her daughter, Angela Brown; her grandchildren, Madison Hartley and her husband Cody, Cameron Brown, McKinsey Brown and her fiancé Nathan Craig, Jared Brown and his wife Ashley, Alana Brown, Brody Straud, Austin Morris and his fiance Bailey Sparks, Devin Morris and his wife Emily; her great grandchildren, Milo and Maverick Hartley and Kinsley Brown; her sister, Lynn and her brothers, Billy, David, Danny and Bobby Swancey; her bothers-in-law, Marion Malcom; Mike Brown and his wife Sandra; Bill Brown; and her sister in law, Pam Lord.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the deacons of Victory Baptist Church and the ladies of Far Above Rubies Sunday School Class.
