North Augusta, SC… Mr. David Charles Rumbaugh, 78, husband of Suzanne “Suzie” Rumbaugh, entered into eternal rest on July, 27th 2021 at the Augusta University Medical Center.
His memorial service will be held Friday July 30th, 2021 at 4:00 PM in North Augusta Bible Chapel with Mr. Heath Wagher, officiating. A visitation of friends and family will follow the service.
David had many considerable interests, the largest being music. He, too, put enormous mental stamina in biblical theology. Thus, was known as a scholar and lifetime learner in many subjects furthering his love of learning. He obtained the label by those who knew him as a wordsmith. He would search for opportunities to expand his vocabulary and this would lead him into one of his other passions, teaching others. David could be described as passionate, yet adamant; however, remaining kind in his approach on matters of this world. Along with these personal accomplishments he was regarded as fiercely patriotic. David served his country in two branches of the armed forces, the United States Air Force and the United States Army.
David’s legacy will continue through the lives of his wife, Suzie Rumbaugh; his brother, Andy Rumbaugh (Nicole) of Falls Church, VA,; his sisters, Sharon Rumbaugh Faison, and Laurie Rumbaugh, both of Bay Minette, AL; his nieces, Heather West and Karen Shiver; his nephews, Matthew Rumbaugh and Michael Faison.
