Evans, GA.......David Lee Phillips was a caring father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He entered into rest on April 14, 2024 at the age of 59 after a hard battle with cancer.

He was born in Flora, Illinois to the late Dell Phillips and his surviving father Larry Phillips on September 30, 1964. After graduating from Salem, Illinois high school, David went straight into the workforce and pursued his passion for motorcycle drag racing. David loved all things motorsports with a particular interest in NHRA drag racing and Nascar.

David eventually made his way to Evans, Georgia in the early 90s after his family moved to the area. He spent most of his working years for NutraSweet before going to work for Takeda Pharmaceuticals.

Left to cherish David’s memory are his daughters, Lindsey and Kristen; his father Larry; sisters, Barbara Sands and Jodi Colvin; brother Greg; and seven grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, at 11:00 at Grace Baptist Church in Evans, Georgia, with Pastor Bill Hilley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
