Mr. Dale Coates Alexander went home to be with his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning May 30, 2021, at the age of 65, as he rested peacefully in his childhood home. There will be a private family memorial service.
Dale was born in Augusta, GA and made his home in North Augusta, SC. He attended North Augusta High School, and later graduated from Emmaus Bible College in Chicago, Ill. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Bible and Theology. Dale was a lifelong member of the National Speleological Society. In his young adult years, he enjoyed exploring wild caves and learning firsthand about the underground wilderness all over the Southeastern United States. He was a skilled wild turkey photographer and loved being in the outdoors. Dale worked at and retired from Savannah River National Laboratory. In his later years, he thoroughly enjoyed engaging in conversations about the present and eternal world described in the Bible. This also included the great love he had for his God and Savior, Jesus. Dale will be remembered by many as a thoughtful and generous gift giver.
Preceding him in death were his parents George Jackson Alexander Sr. and Donna Coates Alexander. Dale is survived by his brothers George Jackson “Jack” Alexander (Karen), Edgefield, SC and James Bishop Alexander IV (René), North Augusta, SC. Four nephews; Jackson (Grace) Alexander, Stephen (Shanna) Alexander, Matthew (Sarah) Alexander, Philip (Bethany) Alexander, and niece Sarah Alexander.
