Cynthia Kendall Heron

Cynthia Kendall (Cindy) Heron, age 65, entered into the loving arms of God on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. Cindy was the wife of 43 years to Brock Heron, who she met at the University of South Carolina.

A native of North Augusta, SC, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Martha C. Kendall.   Cindy graduated from North Augusta Senior High School and the University of South Carolina, where she majored in Music Education.  While at USC she was a member of Marching Band, Pep Band and Tau Beta Sigma Band sorority.

Cindy taught for many years in Augusta, Georgia, North Augusta, SC and finished her teaching career in Richland 2 after she and Brock moved to Irmo in 2007.  She was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church and an active member of the CRC Sunday School class.

Cindy enjoyed music, reading, gardening, and supporting the Gamecocks, especially the Women’s Basketball Team.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Brock Heron, son Brock Jr. (Ginny), daughter Brantley Alvanos (Alex), sister Julie Plymale, many cousins, and her precious grandson Jack Heron.  She was pre-deceased by her parents and her beloved brother, Van Kendall.

A memorial service will be held on August 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Riverland Hills Baptist Church with a reception to follow.
