Connie O. Darden

Augusta, GA.......Connie O’Deen Darden, 79, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Connie was born to William and Annie Storrs on June 6, 1943 in Thomaston GA. She was raised in Ohio where she met her first husband, George Darden, Sr.  They married in Ohio and moved to Georgia where she lived and raised her three children.  Her favorite hobby was crafting projects such as sewing, making ornaments and quilts, etc. 

In her words, “I love people and love to help anyone I can.  I Love my family and friend and extended family.”  Her family agrees.  Connie was a nurturer, taking care of those she met that needed help.  She loved her family dearly and strived to make a comfortable home for them.  

DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP

Connie is survived by her children, George B Darden, Jr. (Kelley) of Barnwell SC, Marji Pretzello (Mike) of North Augusta, SC, David Darden (Dee) of Sevierville TN, her grandchildren Chris Darden (Megan), Michael Pretzello (Amanda), Myles Pretzello (Haley), Macy Bentley (Will), Madisyn Darden, and her great grandchildren, Noah Darden, Ansley Darden, and Emma Pretzello, Brother, Kenneth Storrs (Jane), of Port Clinton OH, Robert Storrs of Marblehead OH, and Bill Storrs (Barbara) of Hepzibah GA.

In lieu of flowers the family desires that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 3:00 at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home, 637 W. Martintown Rd., North Augusta, SC.  A visitation will be held following the service at approximately 3:30.
