Bobby Lee Elliott Jr.

Mr. Bobby Lee Elliott Jr. transitioned to his heavenly home on August 13, 2024 at the age of 68. 

He was born in Oakland, California on March 30, 1956 to the late Bobby Elliott Sr. and Ruthie Mae Riley Elliott. 

Bobby was a very compassionate and caring person who loved people and genuinely cared about everyone. He was never too busy to stop and talk to anyone and always saw the good in everyone. Bobby also had a deep passion for art and enjoyed writing poems and even short stories. He enjoyed traveling as an exciting adventure and being actively involved in his church life and all activities involving veterans. But the most important attribute that Bobby had was that he "Loved the Lord." He was truly, in all essence, a child of God and will be dearly missed by all. 

Bobby came from a military family, and he proudly served his country in the United States Army as a mechanic, and served overseas in Korea before his retirement. 

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Elliott. 

Among those left to cherish Bobby's memory are his brother, Robby Elliott (Diana); sisters, Sherrann Thompson, Yvonne Elliott-Goodman (Vernon), and Katrina Elliott; his stepmother, Gloria Elliott; a very special family friend, Alice M. Strong; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be held in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 22 at 10:00 AM. Following the service, interment in Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC will take place at 1:00 PM. 

The family encourages guests to dress comfortably for Bobby's visitation and services.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bobby's memory to a mental health charity of one's choosing would be appreciated.
