North Augusta, SC…..Mrs. Betty Jean Maddox Givens, 88, wife of the late Frank Givens, entered into rest on Monday, December 1, 2025 at her residence. 

Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2025 in Pineview Memorial Gardens with Fr. Eric Biddy officiating. 

Mrs. Givens was a native of Augusta, long time resident of North Augusta, and an active, long standing member of St. Paul’s Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Fickling; her granddaughters, Caroline Fickling Coan (Kamryn), and Dr. Madison Fickling; her brothers, Billy Maddox and Kenny Maddox; her sister, Barbara Bryer; and her nieces, Jenna Schiesser, Melinda Maddox, and Doree Rice.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Leslie Thomas Fickling, III; and her parents, Edward and Eva Maddox.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
