Barbara G. Henck

Mrs. Barbara G. Henck, 84, wife of the late Robert F. Henck, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Burke Health. 

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2023 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. 

Mrs. Henck was a longtime resident of the CSRA and served as a Librarian with the Augusta-Richmond County Library. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Fitz-Symms Photography, Augusta Box and Crate, and Cree Kilpatrick. She was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the ballet and listening to music. 

She is survived by her children, Deborah Beeson (Denzil), Andrew Symms (Marci), and Mary Anne Symms-Schweser (Eric); her grandchildren, Denzil III, Alice, Sara, Charlie, Anslee, Preston, Harrison, Cameron, Brooks, Symms, Rhys, and Knox; her great grandchildren, Hailey, Zachary, Leayla, Denzil IV, Shelbie, Liana, Alex, Lilia, Bryant, and Belle; her great great grandchildren, Eden and Silas; her brother, Mark Graham (Faye); her sister,  Martha Yaun and her lifelong friend, Mary Byrd. 

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashby and her great granddaughter, Jaylee.

The kindness and excellent care received during her years at Brentwood Health Nursing Home and Burke Health Hospital will forever be appreciated.  Thank you for the extra care, friendship and guidance Amanda, Edna and Crystal.
