Azalee Linyard

Belvedere, SC……Mrs. Azalee Linyard, 91, wife of the late David P. Linyard, Jr., entered into rest on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at National Healthcare. 

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 20, 2022 in St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church with Father Joseph Shippen officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. 

Mrs. Linyard worked at the Clearwater Finishing Plant from 1950-1955 and subsequently spent over 20 years with Walker Realty. She has been a member of St. Bartholomew’s since 1973. Always the sentimental kind, she was known to collect and keep wedding napkins and invitations from all the services she attended. Likewise, if a close friend or family member gave her a gift, it was meticulously tagged with the date and the gifter so as not to be forgotten.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Linyard was preceded in death by her son, David P. Linyard, III and her grandson, Alex Haigler.

She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Lesesne (Frank) of Tallahassee, FL and Camilla Haigler (Mark) of Gray Court, SC; her brother, Norman Thomas; her sisters, Marie Blount and Dianne King; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
