Annie Lou Hudson Lamar

Evans, GA…Mrs. Annie Lou Hudson Lamar, 91, wife of the late George B. Lamar, entered into rest on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Westwood Nursing Home.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sherell Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

A native of Greenville, SC, Mrs. Lamar had made North Augusta her home since 1962. She was a devoted member of Curtis Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, kept the nursery, played the piano and sang in the choir. She was a member of Bible Study Fellowship and the Red Hat Society. In addition to being a homemaker, she was the secretary for the family business, Lamar Painting.

Survivors include four sons, George Lamar, Jr (Rozanne), David Paul Lamar (Frances), John Lamar (Cathy) and Philip Lamar (Sharon); two daughters, Karen Ann Thomas (Denis) and Sarah Hickman (Mark); a sister, Catherine Hudson; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
