Andrew Cory Owens

Graniteville, SC……Mr. Andrew Cory Owens, 38, husband of Courtney Owens, entered into rest on June 20, 2024 at Piedmont Augusta.

A celebration of Andrew’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at True North Church with Pastor Travis Brown officiating.

Andrew was born in Marion, VA and grew up in Augusta where he graduated from the Academy of Richmond County and then continued on to earn a degree in Diesel and Hydraulic Mechanics from Universal Technical Institute in Houston, TX. He began his career with Schlumberger, now known as SLB, in 2007 as a tool pusher and through his hard work and dedication, moved up to his dream job as a supervising mechanic on an oil rig in Alaska. Through his years of service, Andrew won many awards including safety and presidential awards. He will be remembered as a quiet, reserved, hard working man. When he wasn’t working, Andrew enjoyed watching NASCAR, cooking out, being in the pool and going on cruises. His greatest love and his biggest source of pride was his family. Andrew was a dedicated and devoted father and his family was his number one priority.

Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife are his son Wyatt; his daughter, Sawyer; his parents, Cory and Diane Owens; his brother, John Owens; his sister, Courtney Dawn Owens; his mother in law, Kim Cope; his father in law, Greg Cope; his brother in law, Gerald Cope (Olivia) and their son, Jackson; his sister in law, Anna Terlouw (Caleb); his aunt and uncle, Dawn and Michael Crouse; his cousins, James and Miles Crouse, Elizabeth Maerz (Stefan) and their son, Eli.
